Artist Statement
I choose to paint women because for me they are mysterious and powerful. They are the nurturers.
My art work is a reflection on my connection with universe and spiritual growth as well they are dreamy, romantic, seductive and immersive.
I get inspired by meeting creative women, by seeing color combinations and textures find in nature, fabrics, and other type of art.
My visions visits me early morning when I wake up. My last painting “Zemyna” is inspired by super bloom in Cakifornia and my Lithuanian background, pageant goddess of nature.
My favorite medium is oil paint, because it has vivid colors and creamy consistency. I love how if feels when I paint it with in a brushstroke manner.
I admire artists: Gustav Klimt, Monet, John Singer Sargent, Mikalojus Ciurlionis, Henri Matisse.
My current work is more detailed and dynamic. I am challenging my self with interesting direction of light and composition as well working on more softer brushstrokes.
I plan to paint series of motherhood, since I am in this stage of life.
It turned my world upside down and opened my heart.
